Job Title: Human Resources Coordinator

Reporting to: Human Resources Manager

Hours: Full or Part Time / Hourly

Summary:

This position will provide support for a variety of human resource functions within the Human Resources Department including but not limited to record keeping, candidate screening, and documentation.

Responsibilities:

Recruitment / Employment

  • Conduct reference checks on all new employees
  • Maintain and track all candidates for employment from applicant process to pre-employment offer including employment verifications, DOT drug verifications, reference checks, CORI, SORI and Driving Records
  • Become familiar with license types and new candidate qualifications for each specific job
  • Assist Human Resources Manager with New Hire orientations

General Human Resource Duties

  • Keep track of all license expirations and renewals including communicating with employees about their upcoming license expirations, setting them up for physicals, etc.
  • Update all personnel information of employees
  • Create, maintain and update all employee personnel, driver, and termination files in compliance with Massachusetts State law
  • Assist in daily administrative tasks including filing, faxes, answering the phone, making copies, and memo distribution
  • Track all employee eligibility dates based on employee status, date of hire and open enrollment
  • Assist in all aspects of daily department management
  • Work closely with and assist all other departments with general office administrative tasks on an as-needed basis

  • Manage HR Department schedule including meetings, job fairs, interviews
  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs
  • Assist in the production, updating and maintaining of employee handbook
  • Assist Operations and Training staff with employee communication including Memos and incident tracking
  • Assist in planning of Company events and holidays
  • Respond to employment verifications
  • Conduct, analyze and assess data on various reports including turnover reporting, personal info, etc.
  • Become very familiar with Microsoft Office, Payroll /HRIS System, and Santacruz programs
  • Be familiar with the payroll system in order to assist employees with payroll aspects including checking pay stubs online
  • Attend seminars that will be useful for H.R. and the company
  • Engage in highly classified and secure information including drug test results, social security information and all other P
  • Manage life cycle of all employees from hire to termination, including but not limited to paperwork, licensures, transactions, status changes, and weekly, monthly, and yearly reporting

Qualifications and Skill Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2-5) years of human resources experience including recruiting.
  • Ability to learn in a fast paced environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Complete all tasks efficiently and quickly
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel software, strong computers and office equipment skills
  • Ability to multitask, and work on a number of projects simultaneously while maintaining a sense of prioritization.
  • Must maintain a high level of confidentiality with sensitive materials and information
  • Ability to adapt quickly to the changes of the company and assist all other departments with work on an as-needed basis
  • Must have valid MA Driver's License
