About Us:

Local 130 Seafood, founded in 2014, located at 280 West Ave, Long Branch NJ 07740 is a seafood company committed to sourcing and promoting American seafood to its customers across the State of NJ, and the USA. Local 130 is a full service distribution, wholesale and retail business, which has forged partnerships with American docks across the USA to deliver the best and freshest American caught seafood. We are looking for an awesome team player to help run our distribution warehouse located in Long Branch. We pack large restaurant orders early in the am then fed ex packages in afternoon's. We are scaling a program and this is an excellent opportunity to get in on the ground floor. The seafood industry is a multi billion dollar industry and we are just getting started, come help us scale and grow.

Position Role:

Currently, Local 130 operates a distribution and processing house retail storefront in Asbury Park NJ. The role of the General Operations Manager is as follows:

• Prepare and cut fish for orders as directed by Floor Manager and/or Retail team member.
• Organize delivery routes
• manage staff of 10 drivers
• Seafood Purchasing
• Set schedule and hire accordingly
• Work with processing team to Ensure optimal yields are achieved on all fish processing and waste is limited.
• Exercise exceptional judgment on fish quality and freshness prior to releasing product to sales and retail team.
• Unload and Load seafood freight to and from vehicles.
• Act as a QC manager making sure optimal quality is going out every time
• Contribute to ensuring customer specifications are met at all times.
• Sales to some Restaurants required

• Can do attitude and willingness to be part of a team.
• Willingness to learn about and become well versed in all aspects of seafood.
• Legally able to work in the USA.
• Strict adherence to Local 130 Drug Free work policy.
• Conformity to Local 130 uniform policy.
• High standard of cleanliness of vehicles during and after use.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and use a dolly.
• Early mornings and weekend availability required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
