Job Summary
Oak Leaf Manor South is looking for a hardworking, caring Cook to add to our wonderful team! If you want to make a difference in someone else's life and enjoy taking care of and serving the elderly, please apply! We are looking for a part time Cook to complete our dietary team. This position could lead to a full time opportunity. Oak Leaf Manor prides itself in the care and enrichment that we provide to our residents. We specialize in personal care along with Dementia care.
The shift time for this position is typically 11:00am to 7:00pm. Cooks are the lead for the kitchen in the absence of the Chef. They are responsible for all staff completing their job in a timely fashion and correct, the closing cleanliness of the kitchen as well as meeting state and local regulations.
Employees are required to work every other weekend and every other holiday.
Responsibilities and Duties
We are looking for a quality minded professional.
- Knowledge of scratch cooking a definite plus as we look to elevate the expectations of food service.
- Compassion for elderly and a desire to improve their quality of life is the focus of this food service operation.
- The ability to lead others in appositive way
- To stand on your feet for 8 to 10 hours,
- An eye for detail
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous cooking experience required
- Previous leadership experience highly preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards
