Business Development Intern

Location: Cincinnati, OH or Remote-US

Internship Term: Summer 2023

The Business Development intern is expected to act as the liaison in projects with hands-on involvement in LISNR’s commercial growth strategy. The Business Development internship involves deep market research and identifying growth capabilities as well as strong communication and team skills.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical and thought provoking background.  This is a great opportunity for a student to be exposed to three key areas of business development: identify potential clients, establish new prospective client relationships and drive new revenue for the company. A great Candidate will have a foundational understanding of sales principles who is ready for an immersive, real-world experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct market research on geographies applicable to LISNR’s growth through payment, retail, and mobility use cases
• Identify market leaders in the payment, retail, and mobility space, where LISNR can expand its traction
• Create and build out go to market strategies through sales and partnership activities

Organizational Alignment:

• Reports to Strategic Partnerships Analyst

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to communicate effectively in and across teams; must possess strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills 
• Track record of results-oriented achievements and successful strategy execution 
• Detail-oriented organizational skills 
• Analytical mindset to understand how quantitative and qualitative information overlaps

• Be a team player and step up to the plate
• Knowledge of Salesforce and Microsoft Word & Excel

Compensation

• Annual hourly rate: $15 - $22/hour
• Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location.
