Liquid Agency, a brand experience agency, is looking for a Data Engineer to join our Analytics team. This is a remote position and you must be based in the US.

You will enable smarter, more innovative uses of data by building robust data pipelines and implementing data best practices. 

What you’ll do:

Design and build reusable components, frameworks and libraries at scale to support analytics products

Develop architecture and design patterns to process and store high volume data sets

Collaborate on the implementation of new data management projects and re-structure of the current data architecture

Implement automated workflows and routines using workflow scheduling tools

Build continuous integration, test-driven development and production deployment frameworks

Build data gathering and extraction solutions across a variety of unconventional data sets

Work with the analytics team to ensure high-functioning data ETL and storage systems are in place

Maintain back-end support for functional endpoints that teams and clients use to access data

What you bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics or related fields preferred. Master’s degree is a plus.

2-3 years of experience writing code and contributing to large data pipeline codebases with Python, Scala, or Java

Expertise designing and developing with distributed data processing platforms like Spark and pipeline orchestration tools like Airflow

Experience with SQL and query design on large, complex datasets

Experience with relational, NoSQL, and MPP (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, DynamoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch) databases leading data modeling, schema design, and data storage best practices

Experience with enhancing CI/CD build tooling in a containerized environment, from deployment pipelines (Jenkins, etc), infrastructure as code (Terraform, Cloudformation), and configuration management via Docker and Kubernetes
