  • Inspect products using gauges, coordinate measuring machine, scales, and vision prior to shipment.
  • Maintain spreadsheets for data collection.
  • Reconcile final inspection documentation for shipments.
  • Interact with department management, production and other inspectors as needed.
  • Test incoming/outgoing materials.
  • Send bad product back to production to be fixed, before allowing product to be shipped out.
  • Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains quality standards for processing materials; purchased material, manufactured material, and finished goods.
  • Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
  • Responsible for calibration of measuring and test equipment in all areas and maintaining the records of such.
  • Review NCMR’s to assure accuracy, verifying reject reasons and updating NCMR database.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the Quality Assurance program, which includes input of data, assessment capability, establishment of charts and forms, maintenance of data, development of new systems, etc.
  • Assist in auditing of products and production processes in support of documented business quality goals and objectives.
  • FAI’s- Conduct inspections in accordance to prints and update FAI database.
  • Incoming inspection/outgoing dock audits, maintain inspection sheets.
  • Analyze Service returns and coordinate disposition and feedback to management.

    Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time salaried position, and hours of work and days are decided by production and your reporting Manager. Typical hours for this position are as follows: Monday through Friday 6am to 2:30pm, with potential overtime.

    Travel

    No travel is required for this position.

    Required Education and Experience

  • Minimum of a high school education.
  • 6 months or more of attention to detail oriented work.
  • Preferred Education and Experience

  • Manufacturing/industry experience.
  • Quality inspection experience.
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Must be able to work in team environment.
  • Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, Access).
  • Must have good communication skills and the ability to work external organizations (i.e. suppliers, customers, and production personnel
