The Director DC Operations for our new highly automated 314,000 square foot Rincon, GA distribution center is responsible for overseeing 1st and 2nd shift Operations, supervising our Operations and Logistics Managers, assisting the Operations Leadership Team with strategic decisions and implementation, supporting our Senior Director Operations and acts as the main point of contact in his/her absence. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Manages the tactical oversight of the Savannah warehouse operations and ensures all tasks are completed efficiently and safely while maintaining a positive team culture, hires, trains, and coaches, assists with time and attendance management, and conducts performance evaluations of direct reports.
• Assists with all warehousing and movement of goods in a fast paced B2B and D2C environment with eCommerce and full case picking areas.
• Works closely with the Senior Director Operations to contribute to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies, and practices.
• Assists with planning and properly allocating tasks and resources to ensure timelines are met and general operations run smoothly. Monitors and evaluates plans and reports metrics to management team.
• Provide recommendations on streamlining operations and maximizing productivity.
• Documents processes and develops training program SOPs.
• Serves as the primary contact for temporary agency interactions.
• Facilities maintenance.
• Assists in the development and implementation of a warehouse incentive program.
• Responsible for all safety & quality related tasks.
• Back up Senior Director of Operations and acts as the main point of contact in his/her absence.
• Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or relevant field preferred.
• 7-10 years management, operations, and leadership experience required.
• Strong hands-on team leadership skills and successful supervisory experience in an operations environment required.
• Experience with eCommerce Pick/Pack/Ship and B2B with large retailers required.
• Knowledge of LEAN Principles preferred.
• Experience with startup operations.
