The Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC) is a military organization located on Kirkland AFB in Albuquerque, NM supporting Combat Command planning and execution requirements by providing Theater NAVWAR SMEs to operationalize and institutionalize NAVWAR knowledge. The position requires CONUS /OCONUS travel to support exercise-planning conferences and exercise execution.

The JNWC supports a variety of Government agencies, but is primarily focused on the Department of Defense (DoD). This position is part of the NAVWAR Support to Warfighters Division comprised of Government and Contractor staff members.

The Ops SME is able to support the Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC) client utilizing knowledge and operational experience to provide Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR) assessment /analysis to the joint and coalition warfighter during exercises, evaluations, and operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Ops SME will act as part of the Current Operations for the JNWC client and operational warfighting customers.
• Provides support to Combatant Command (CCMD) joint warfighting customers for issues related to Global Positioning System (GPS), Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT), Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR).
• Develops NAVWAR training and assessments for CCMD and Service Component Commands.
• Provides NAVWAR threat analysis and assessments for operational planning.
• Provides reach back support to joint operational warfighters.
• Prepares and presents briefings and papers on NAVWAR matters and topics of interest related to GPS /PNT to operational and professional audiences.
• Support customer security requirements during during core business hours (8 am-4 pm)

Required Skills

• Professional knowledge of Electronic Warfare.
• Ability to work unsupervised and independently.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Ability to do shift work for exercise support.
