Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage strategy analysis/planning and operational/strategic communications support.
  • Responsible for overseeing all internal and external communications for the Director, ensuring that messages are consistent and engaging.
  • Interfaces with the Department of Defense and industry to find, review, and assess current and emerging technologies to solve capability gaps.
  • Works with small innovative companies and technology consultants to link companies with emerging technologies to military users/requirements.
  • Coordinates and executes high-level technical meetings.
  • Manage scientific, engineering, and technical analysis of prospective and ongoing prototypes and demonstrations of emerging, innovative technologies by providing management support for broad program portfolios, proposals, analysis, and funding recommendations by conducting small group reviews, cross-pollination meetings to coordinate and collaborate across the Department of Defense and with other Government agencies, academia, and industry for situational awareness and information sharing.
  • Demonstrates understanding of security standards and information security and compliance frameworks, controls and best practices (e.g., Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements, Service Organization Controls (SOC) 2 and SOC3, Open Web Application Security, SysAdmin, Audit, Network and Security; National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)) and NIST Risk Management Framework, processes, and best practices related to the management of information and technology risks.
  • Senior Analysts are the primary technical interface supporting the day-to-day operations and integrate all programs and analyst functions.
  • This position also concurrently performs the duties of the Program Manager.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree
  • 10 years of experience
  • Experience organizing and developing programs to support organizational strategic direction; creating and managing long-term goals; assisting with organizational plans and programs; establishing working relationships with program managers or executive leaders; tracking task order efforts to rapidly identify and resolve potential and new problems.
  • Operational experience in the following specialties: Innovative prototyping solutions, non-traditional performers, R&E modernization, and joint warfighting concepts.
  • A current Top Secret clearance is required
