The Business Development (BD) team plays a critical role in executing and accelerating our product roadmap and strategy. We do so by articulating partner strategies, identifying and executing the right deals, and managing partnerships and strategic initiatives, in collaboration with other cross-functional teams. The role will be key in taking our efforts to the next level for this fast-growing business. Among other responsibilities, as a part of the BD team, the role will be responsible for the Creative & Content Platforms Partnerships ecosystem - they will also be charged with identifying, executing, and managing new partnerships and strategies. These partnerships meaningfully contribute to our vision of creating economic opportunity for every member of the global workforce.
The position can be based in San Francisco, CA, Mountain View, CA, or New York, NY. Travel may be required for this role.
Responsibilities
Defining Creative & Content Platforms partnership and program strategies by which partnerships can help grow the business.
Identifying and building business cases for high potential partnership opportunities.
Structuring and negotiating agreements with prospective partners.
Managing and optimizing a portfolio of partnerships to grow and support the business at global scale.
Expanding the understanding of and value derived from our partnerships by internal stakeholders and external stakeholders, including partners and customers.
Developing a strong understanding of LinkedIn’s Marketing Solutions business and helping to influence LinkedIn’s leadership team on future products and business strategy.
Synthesizing and sharing relevant ecosystem insights about the digital advertising and marketing technology industry landscape with LinkedIn’s leaders and executives.
Work with other groups across the organization, including but not limited to Sales, Product, Engineering, Partner Engineering, Marketing, Communications, and Legal to drive value through partnerships and visibility of BD activities.
7 years of work experience in a business development or strategy role.
Experience with platform or product partnerships and focus on AdTech.
Experience in the digital advertising/marketing tech industry, specifically with creative & content platforms.
Experience in driving partnerships from ideation to completion and scaling businesses, partnerships, and programs globally.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in some type of analytical role (e.g. consulting firm, investment bank, M&A/Corporate Strategy or Business Operations).
Interest and excitement about LinkedIn’s products, especially within the LinkedIn Marketing Solutions business; ability to think strategically about how partnering with 3rd-parties can create compelling new experiences for LinkedIn’s members and customers.
Demonstrated ability to perform in an entrepreneurial setting, working independently across multiple groups, and thriving in a high-pressure and rapidly moving environment.
Experience leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing different stakeholders across multiple work-streams; works exceptionally well across functional groups.
Acts like an owner, takes responsibility for one’s actions and for outcomes related to one’s decisions; passionate about the success of LinkedIn’s members, customers, and partners.
Comfortable working under deadlines and producing key deliverables - and having fun in this working environment!
