Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and organized Dispatch Coordinator to join our team. As a Dispatch Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation logistics, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining efficient communication with drivers, carriers, and customers.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule and coordinate freight and air shipments based on customer requirements.
- Communicate with drivers and carriers to ensure smooth transportation operations.
- Monitor routes and address any delays or issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to shipments.
- Collaborate with other team members to optimize transportation efficiency.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient cargo handling and storage.
- Address any issues or delays related to cargo transport and find solutions to minimize disruptions.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking information and delivery status.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients, addressing inquiries and resolving any concerns promptly.
- Stay informed about industry regulations, safety procedures, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or dispatching preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication abilities (both verbal and written).
- Familiarity with transportation software and tracking systems.
- Familiarity with air cargo operations, airline procedures, and IATA regulations.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
- Problem-solving skills to address unexpected situations.
- Proficiency in using computer software for tracking shipments and managing documentation.
