Lincoln Hills Development Corp is Hiring an Assistant Teacher Near Dale, IN

Description

Head Start has an opening for an Assistant Teacher at our North Spencer Head Start in Dale, IN. This position will be working 35 hours per week. Responsible for working in collaboration with an Teacher to prepare and implement lesson plans for preschool children ages 3-5; completing required developmental, behavioral, and sensory screenings; ensuring lesson plans and teaching strategies are individualized for each child, including children with IEP’s; utilizing curriculum and computer software accurately; maintaining child records and documentation; participating in recruitment activities for enrollment, following all health and safety standards, and providing active supervision of all children at all times.

Requirements

Childhood Development Associate Credential (C.D.A.), or a state awarded certificate that meets or exceeds the requirements for a C.D.A. credential, are enrolled in a program that will lead to an associate or baccalaureate degree or, are enrolled in a C.D.A. credential program to be completed within two years of the time of hire is required; knowledge of child development and experience teaching preschool children preferred. Must be 21 years of age and have a Commercial Drivers License (CDL Class C) and Bus Driver Certification within five months of hire. Experience driving public passenger vehicles preferred.

Must meet Head Start and Indiana Childcare Licensing Regulations, including Head Start Standards of Conduct, federal and state criminal history requirements, sex offender registry checks, drug screen, physical and complete an annual T.B. test.
