Brief Job Summary
This position is responsible for operating a department vehicle to transport clients. Job Responsibilities
o Transports clients to medical appointments and other locations.
o Communicates with dispatcher for additional or added work load.
o Records client pick-up and drop-off times; records vehicle mileage.
o Reports vehicle maintenance issues to supervisor.
o Operates a lift van to load and unload clients.
o Performs minor maintenance on vehicle fleet.
o Assists clients by scheduling transportation times.
o Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
o Ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical calculations.
o No experience requirements.
o Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of North Carolina for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge and Skills Required by Position - o Knowledge of program procedures and regulations.
o Knowledge of relevant state and federal laws and regulations and county ordinances.
o Knowledge of CPR and First Aid.
o Knowledge of the operation of assigned vehicles.
o Knowledge of job related communication and electronic documentation equipment.
o Skill in report preparation and records maintenance.
o Skill in operating an assigned vehicle.
o Skill in the operation of computer and communications equipment.
o Skill in public and interpersonal relations.
o Skill in oral and written communication.
