Job Purpose:

The Business Development Executive is responsible for driving and growing new business revenue. The Business Development Executive contributes to the success of the sales team by closing new revenue, continued adoption and market penetration in targeted accounts. The ideal candidate possesses a technical sales background that enables them to drive new engagement with highly technical prospects. You should be a self-starter who is prepared to develop and execute a plan that will consistently exceed your revenue targets.

Essential Functions:

  • Accountable for driving new business and logos across multiple verticals (Media, E-Commerce, Fintech, Gaming, Education and other SaaS providers), while exceeding revenue goals in your defined territory
  • Effectively deliver the Limelight company story, value proposition and product demonstrations
  • Use all available tools to prospect effectively and maintain activity metrics provided by Sales Managers
  • Manage multiple cross-product opportunities and demonstrate the ability to develop a deal framework for all opportunities that will increase the likelihood of the deal successfully closing
  • Generate accurate forecast and sales activity reports in Salesforce for sales leadership
  • Provide insight into the market based on first line and industry experience
  • Maintain a positive and upbeat demeanor that wants to be a part of a First Team, winning culture

Qualifications:

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or related experience
  • 5 years’ experience of successful quota carrying in the B2B and SaaS space
  • Experience in successfully managing full Enterprise sales cycles in the Media, E-commerce, Fintech, Education, Software or Gaming industries

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to find and convert prospects into new, closed logos
  • Strong ability to take initiative and confidently direct customer interactions to move throughout a sales cycle
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with content delivery network service and application security
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a sales team including solutions engineers, DevOps, professional services, marketing and Executives to set appropriate account expectations and ensure satisfied customers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and learn new web technologies.
  • Strong work ethic with a high level of grit and determination to be successful.
  • Ability to travel when necessary.
