About the role:Limeade is looking for a Data Engineer III to join our Data Engineering team. You will help limeade expand its enterprise data platform to support the Limeade SAS product, reporting, and business intelligence. You will work with other engineers who are also database, cloud, and networking experts to design and build solutions. Your skills and experience will help shape the work we do as a data team supporting a product that is HIPAA and GDPR compliant. This role will report to the Data Engineering Lead responsible for our data platform.
This role can be fully remote.
Responsibilities:
· Gain an in-depth understanding of Limeade’s Data platform and help set its future direction, including taking part in architecture design and implementation.
· Monitor and improve systems, as well as solve reliability and data quality problems in infrastructure and operations when they occur.
· Help to establish and implement best practices around data acquisition, storage, monitoring, logging, API-based access
Requirements:
· Ability to demonstrate our values in an on-going and consistent way
· Self-starter mindset with the ability to lead projects, document and improve processes, and influence others
· 3 years of professional experience with expertise in SQL and strong programming skills in Python, Scala, R, or similar
· 3 years of experience with big data architecture and data pipelines.
· 1 year of production support experience in a cloud environment (AWS, Google Cloud, IBM Bluemix, etc.); Microsoft Azure environment is preferred
· 1 year of experience using spark or managed spark such as Databricks
· Experience with DevOps environments and practices, infrastructure as code
· Understanding of distributed applications and their implementations (Docker, Kubernetes, Service Fabric and similar)
· Excellent troubleshooting skills – able to read code and debug live servers to find underlying issues quickly
