Lighting Maintenance Inc (LMI) is currently seeking commercial electricians to work in the Tri-City area of Richmond, Henrico, and St. Petersburg. The ideal candidate will possess 5 years’ experience providing maintenance, repairs, and installation of electrical & lighting systems and must have the ability to work within state and county government facilities. ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

• Positively identify colors of conductors
• Comprehends reading of blueprints and schematics
• Must use all power tools
• Capable of digging trenches, either by hand tools or power equipment
• Practices and comprehends safe work procedures as outlined in the Company Safety Policy Handbook, Haz-com Policy, and Lockout – Tagout Policy
• Operate two-handed tools such as cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, and jackhammers
• Operate company trucks with manual and automatic transmissions
• Read and interpret maps, instructional manuals, specifications, work site directions, blueprints, and written instructions
• Operate and work from personal lifts, gas or electric-powered
• Operate equipment, trenchers, backhoes, and lift trucks in a safe manner
• Adheres to all quality and safety codes
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Attention to detail and follow-through
• Must be a self-starter, and be able to accomplish tasks in a timely manner with little to no supervision

REQUIREMENTS:

• Driver’s license – Must be current and have a clean driving record
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• 5 years of electrical experience
• CDL B License (Preferred)
• Journeyman License (Preferred)
• Operating a Bucket Truck – Min. 2 years (Preferred)
• OSHA 10 (Preferred)

PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:

• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead
• Lift 51 pounds
• Climb ladders of all types
• Complete overhead work for full day’s assignments
• Possess good vision (normal or corrected)
