Lighthouse Behavioral Health Solutions is Hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Near Columbus, OH

Lighthouse Behavioral Health Solutions (LBHS) provides individual, outpatient, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, residential, psychiatric services, and medication assisted treatment for mental health and substance abuse treatment needs. We are a treatment facility that prides itself in a welcoming and compassionate approach to substance use and mental health treatment. We believe our clients can achieve recovery and be valued community members through positive engagement and meaningful participation in treatment.

Our Goal:

Our comprehensive approach to addictions treatment provides a continuum of care that begins with asking for help and continues through to ongoing peer support. In addition to our state-of-the-art treatment facilities and peer support centers across Central Ohio, we work to remove barriers and promote access to care through our integrative approach and evidence-based clinical treatment.

Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Job Summary:

This position provides medical services to adults with identified mental health or substance use diagnosis. Collaborating with Lighthouse Medical Doctor, Nurse Practitioner and Lab Director to provide consistent quality care. Maintaining good working relationships with support networks, government resources, and community resources. Completes medical documentation in a timely and accurate manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The LPN completes intake medical assessments, identifying signs and symptoms, and performing routine laboratory tests for new clients. 
  • The LPN records clients’ vital signs, prepares and gives injections, collects samples for testing, and reports adverse reactions to medication or treatment in accordance with policy.
  • The LPN provides medication management such as recording current medications, screening for adverse reactions, consulting on medication options, and requesting scripts. 
  • The LPN assesses signs and symptoms associated with substance abuse, relapse, medication assisted treatment, and withdrawal.
  • The LPN screens clients for psychoactive substance toxicity and intoxication, danger to self or others, co-occurring mental health issues.
  • The LPN records all findings and consults with medical and clinical teams when necessary. 
  • The LPN completes and maintains current training on handling crisis and is prepared to manage a crisis if necessary. 
  • The LPN maintains a comfortable, orderly, safe, and clean environment for clients.
  • The LPN records all care information concisely, accurately, and completely, in a timely manner, and in the appropriate formal and on the appropriate forms. 
  • The LPN actively participates in supervision and consultation, including the obtainment of continuing education. The LPN complete mandatory training and stay apprised of best practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience/Abilities:

  • Familiarity with safety and sanitation standards and procedures.
  • Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices.
  • Compassionate and able to handle stress.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with clients, colleagues, and community resources.
  • Excellent time management skills; organized and able to prioritize.
  • Comfortable in a diverse fast-paced environment with multiple clients.
  • Calm and cool-headed with a positive attitude.
  • Self-directed and self-motivated.
  • Comfortable with building personal relationships and dedicated to helping others.

Required Education:

  • Successful completion of the LPN license program is a must.
  • Proven experience as an LPN or similar role.
  • 2 years of experience.

Desired Certifications and Experience:

  • Demonstrates positive service outcomes and overall satisfaction of key stakeholders.
  • Monitors and ensures productivity and quality service standards of LBHS are met.
  • Cooperates and supports LBHS's quality and performance improvement activities and initiatives.
  • Works toward developing, fostering, and maintaining positive, proactive relations with the community.
  • Supports LBHS culture that honors individuality while promoting collaborative effort and teamwork.
  • Participates and supports employee surveys to promote cooperative, interactive, supportive, collective entrepreneurship.
  • The LPN will arrange for appropriate coverage of client needs while on vacation or sick leave.
  • Valid State of Ohio Driver's License and valid car insurance
  • Must pass BCI check, all Corporate Compliance checks, and employment drug screen

Schedule

Monday - Friday 8am - 5:30pm. This position will serve the Columbus West, Westgate and Marysville locations.
