Job Description

Lighthouse Behavioral Health Solutions (Lighthouse) provides individual, outpatient, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, residential, psychiatric services, and medication assisted treatment for mental health and substance abuse treatment needs.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for overall aspects of facilities across Lighthouse, including maintenance, transportation, and zoning review. This includes overseeing or consulting on any major renovations, repairs, or new builds, reviewing and approving all related capital expenditure requests, purchasing, supervision, and ensuring all facilities provide a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents and clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides comprehensive oversight, direction and consultation on all major facilities projects including building renovations, repairs, new construction, equipment (vehicle) purchase and/or replacement, major mechanical issues, and energy upgrades. This may include managing the project, reviewing, and recommending contractors/vendors, and procuring and/or reviewing/approving cost estimates. Monitors project status and ensures project remains on time and within budget.
  • Reviews and approves all facility and maintenance related capital expenditure requests. Ensures requests are appropriate for desired outcome and cost estimate is feasible. Partners with appropriate Program Managers on capital budgets and recommended revisions or changes.
  • Develops facility standards and grading from a facilities maintenance standpoint. Conducts evaluations, including inspecting and approving work performed by facility maintenance staff and/or outside contractors, to review condition of facility and facility equipment according to standards. Makes recommendations for repairs and/or replacement of equipment. This is according to ORH standards but also Lighthouse Standards.
  • Develop zoning standards and expectations based on service area and standards of the agency. Relay these standards to the Denovo team and work together to develop a plan to present to the administration team. 
  • Develops and maintains relationships with vendors. Evaluates and ranks vendors maintaining preferred vendor lists. Partner with suppliers to manage and improve organizational purchasing efficiency to reduce costs and standardize supplies across the agency.
  • Leads, develops, evaluates, and implements preventative maintenance programs on facility equipment (including vehicles) to reduce unexpected downtime and repair costs, and increase life expectancy of equipment. Approves maintenance contracts and ensures preventative maintenance tasks are completed as required, per agency policy.
  • Partners with facility maintenance staff and program managers to improve quality of life for residents, clients, staff, and visitors by ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment. Makes recommendation for safety improvements and coordinates the removal of ice, snow and other debris during inclement weather.
  • Provides leadership, development, and work direction to maintenance/transportation staff at Lighthouse and indirectly to all housing staff throughout the agency. This includes selecting, training, coaching, providing performance feedback, disciplining, and termination of employees as necessary within maintenance, transportation, etc.
  • Responsible for developing and managing the budget for the property management department. This includes planning projects and estimating supply utilization and costs. Monitors budget to ensure expenditures are within budgetary approvals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience working on maintenance management, budgeting, transportation, purchasing as well as long term planning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical information into common terms.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large scale projects and the ability to complete within a defined budget and timetable.
  • Solid critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Valid Driver's License. Must pass BCI check, all Corporate Compliance checks, and employment drug screen.
  2. Bachelor’s Degree
  3. 4-6 years’ experience in facility maintenance, purchasing, budgeting, and leadership or equivalent combination of experience and schooling.
  4. At least Five years’ experience supervising staff and providing work direction.
  5. Flexibility in managing schedule including weekends and evening hours.
