Lightcast is the world’s best provider of labor market data available to professionals in higher education, economic development, workforce investment, talent acquisition, and site selection. Our data, which covers more than 99% of the workforce, is compiled from a wide variety of government sources, job postings, and online profiles and résumés. Our amazing clients use Lightcast data to solve a variety of problems: align programs with regional needs, equip students with career visions, understand regional economic and workforce activity, and find and hire the right talent. We serve clients across the US, the UK, and Australia. Headquartered in Moscow, Idaho, in the heart of the beautiful Palouse region, Lightcast also has offices around the US and in the UK. General Counsel at Lightcast is a multi-function role. The traditional elements of serving as a trusted advisor to business leaders on legal matters, ensuring legal compliance, mitigating and managing legal disputes, etc. are certainly part of the job. It is also important that Lightcast’s attorney understand the business at a deep level in order to contribute meaningfully as a business advisor both strategically and tactically -- e.g., you should be able to have an opinion on questions like “is this product-development direction wise?” as well as questions like “is this particular deal good for Lightcast?” In other words, Lightcast legal’s primary value proposition should be improving the quality of decision-making, and that value should be contributed to as many aspects of the business as possible. This is a hybrid opportunity with the selected candidate dividing time between our Moscow, ID office and their home office. The ideal candidate will share our core values which include:· Partnering with Customers· Operate as a Team· Sustain our Company· Work with Gratitude Lightcast is proud to be an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
