Position Summary:

Liberty Source PBC is looking for a Learning and Development Manager to assess company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identify and arrange suitable training solutions for employees. This position actively searches, creatively designs, and implements effective methods to educate, enhance performance and recognize performance. We are looking for someone who is both hands-on and strategic, and who can help shape best-in-class learner experiences (e.g., structures) for in-person, instructor-led, virtual and/or hybrid courses. In addition, this position evaluates effectiveness through performance metrics. Ensures alignment with strategic business objectives and maintain high quality standards in instructional design and development for all methods of program delivery. This position will report to the Vice President of Human Resources.

Position Responsibilities (includes but not limited to):

  • Responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring programs and activities that enhance skills and knowledge of employees across all levels of the organization
  • Identify training needs, recommending, and implementing solutions, and evaluating and measuring effectiveness.
  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of a comprehensive training strategy ensuring strategic alignment of training and development with business goals.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand their needs related to training and development by proactively interfacing with key stakeholders to understand, recommend and deploy effective solutions.
  • Conduct assessments and analyses to define performance, skill and knowledge gaps and recommend training and development to drive individual and company-wide capability and performance improvement.
  • As a partner within the HR team, recommend and develop employee engagement programs and activities that enhance employment experience.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy for training and development programs.
  • Establish and maintain individual and organizational performance evaluation methods for training content, delivery, activities, engagement, and outcomes. Utilize metrics to validate knowledge transfer and return on investment.
  • Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) and serve as the point of contact for LMS administration. Ensure the LMS is maintained, organized, and has up-to-date, relevant content.
  • Track training participation and other metrics within the LMS. Analyze data and develop reports for leadership.
  • Collaborate with Leadership to support succession planning activities, conduct talent reviews and create appropriate follow up on development activities that accelerate high potential talent and ensures a consistent talent pipeline at each stage over individuals’ career span.
  • Designs, develops, and instructs Leadership training programs for management and employees
  • Build and manage relationships during learning product lifecycles to ensure successful design and delivery.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Learning Management, Instructional Design, Human Resource Development, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPLP) is a plus.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive responsible experience working in Training, Organizational Development, or equivalent discipline.
  • Self-starter with high energy and proven record of instituting continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated, end-to-end project/program management experience: conception and initiation, planning, execution, performance/monitoring, and project close
  • Demonstrated consultative approach: excellent communication and influencing skills to communicate effectively and credibly, both verbally and in writing, with audiences at all management levels
  • Highly creative, divergent thinker, demonstrated ability to think outside the box and contribute innovative ideas, approaches, and solutions
  • Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills, including with senior leaders
