LI SCRIPT is Hiring a Billing Specialist Near Woodbury, NY

LI Script is a Long Term Care Pharmacy located in Woodbury, NY. We provide pharmaceutical services, products and care for residents of skilled nursing facilities, short-term rehabilitation centers, assisted living facilities and other long term care facilities on Long Island and throughout New York State. We aim to help long term care facilities deliver high standards for their residents with personalized products and services.

LI Script is currently looking for biller who can assist with day-to-day and month-end billing, facility census, and claim adjudications that are related to long-term care nursing and assisted living facilities with a high degree of accuracy and integrity in their work.

Responsibilities:

- Ensure the patients’ medical information is accurate and up-to-date

- Identify the billing data regarding each patient and determine whether to bill insurance or the facility

- Identify and Investigate electronically denied claims promptly to ensure quick adjudication

- Contact facilities or patient’s family members for proper billing information

- Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA

- Other duties as assigned

Minimum qualifications:

- Must be organized and detail oriented

- Self-motivated with the ability to effectively solve problems

- Be able to work independently and cohesively within a team

- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel

- Minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent

- A team player with positive attitude that is reliable, honest, self-motivated

Preferred Experience:

- Prior pharmacy experience

- Knowledge of insurance, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial plans

- Framework LTC software experience preferred'
