Follow testing according to SOP or consensus standards. Perform all quality and production testing in a timely manner. With lab manager develop protocols to ensure consistency Maintain Primary Equipment in Superior Operating Condition Conduct preventive maintenance Complete appropriate training to run equipment in the most efficient and sustainable manner In Conjunction with others in LNA and Lhoist join in the development and implementation of SAP based QC module Understand the basic structure of the SAP QC module Follow the develop the framework to record the data in the SAP QC module Ongoing Development of Understanding of the LNA business Be willing to develop a working (not expert knowledge) of the process and applications of the LNA business Be a team member in engaging the internal customer in trying to learn what the question (issue) is in order to better match the analysis Have an understanding of what are reasonable analytical approaches and results to ensure appropriate outcomes Physical ability to: Lift and carry minimum 50lb samples for testing Carry samples up flights of stairs Access all areas within a site which could include heights of 120 feet, confined spaces, climbing ladders or stairs, and accessing tunnels. ATTRIBUTES: Familiarity in a specific analytical area. Strong laboratory analysis technique – methodical and attention to detail Strong computer skills – running equipment and managing data Strong written, reading and verbal/presentation skills Ability to work and keep focused in a fast paced work environment Ability to conduct routine maintenance on analytical equipment Interest in developing new analytical skills Industrial background with good troubleshooting skills. Knowledgeable of current environmental regulations and practices as they relate to the lime industry. Strong communication skills. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations is required. Must have a telephone and be open to call-outs. Physical Demands include, but are not limited to: Must be capable of working shift work, overtime, seven days, or holidays, if needed Able to lift over 50 pounds History of safe operation of vehicle as demonstrated on driving record Effectively communicate and interact with supervisors and peers Must be able to perform in compliance with all task training requirements Tolerate working outside in severe weather conditions as well as exposure to industrial high temperature, noise and dust.
