LG Electronics USA Inc is Hiring a Sales Engineer Near San Jose, CA

We are currently seeking a Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team as part of the B2B Solutions Technical Sales Team! 

This is a home office based role. We are looking for a new team member preferably in a metro area near a major city in Chicago and Northern California. Other locations to be considered. 75% overnight travel within the USA with periodic weekend travel is required. (occasionally international)

Responsibilities;

  • Contributes to the technical sales efforts of Information Display products and services, including DVLED, LCD, OLED, Collaborative displays , Software and more, by utilizing sales skills and technical knowledge to establish trust and convey LG Solutions and value propositions.
  • Supports assigned sales representative(s), region(s), and/or product(s) by attending sales meetings, addressing technical inquiries, assessing customer needs, conveying solution requirements, and resolving pre- and post-sales technical product issues.
  • Participates in the technical training of customers, sales channel partners, solution specifiers, and internal teams (primarily sales) by conducting presentations and demonstrations on topics including; product roadmaps, new product introductions, product capabilities, competitive products/comparisons, product configuration, complementary technology solutions, technical resources, and emerging technologies/trends.
  • Works with customers to problem solve LG product issues, as well as third party technology interoperability, and when necessary, gathers details and escalates field issues to appropriate internal individuals/teams.
  • Attends periodic company and partner hosted sales and marketing events to provide technical expertise and labor during product setup/teardown, and during the events to engage with attendees.
  • Documents and conveys Voice of Customer (VOC) for technical product-related topics, such as requirements for future products/features, to appropriate internal representatives.
  • Assist in project installations and other professional services as needed.
  • Providing escalated technical support for customer service for incoming/outgoing calls as necessary.
  • Advocate customer needs and new ideas to the HQ Product Management team.
  • Provide technical feedback on enhancements and changes to existing and development products.

Job Requirements:

  • Associates Degree EET/CET, Bachelor Degree is preferred in a technical subject or equivalent work experience preferably with a System Integrator
  • Certified Technology Specialist-CTS (Preferred)
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in technical product and solution sales (preferably in Audiovisual, DVLED, Collaborative displays, Information Display industries, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of signage technologies including but not limited to: visual and light sciences, LCD, DVLED, and OLED technologies, software and firmware, networking
  • Strong understanding of Content Management Solutions (CMS)
  • Strong understanding of project specifications and blueprints
  • Knowledge in all MS Office Applications (Excel and PowerPoint). Knowledge of CRM (Salesforce), CMS, CAD and/or Revit software a plus
  • Exemplary Interpersonal, time management and decision making
  • Strong Analytical and problem solving skills with ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Ability to document and escalate technical and project documentation
  • Ability to work in fast paced and stressful environments in team
  • Ability to effectively resolve conflicts, diffuse and escalate difficult situations
  • Industry relationships with integrators, end users and solution element providers a plus
  • Ability to travel 75% throughout the U.S. (occasionally international)
  • SalesForce.com experience a plus
