The Opportunity:

As a Field Technician Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting the management team with various stages of development on new home appliances launched in North America. You will also be responsible for identifying current issues in the field and working to eliminate those issues as well as support our field personnel with technical expertise.

What You’ll Do:

o Field Test Support and Initiation:

· Support all field tests of new products for a specific category

· Track field test products and interact with factory teams for improvement quality issues from field tests

· Technical literature review

· Support technical writer for customer facing literature

o Quality Support:

· Conduct quality inspection of products

· Monitor product qualities by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports (monthly quality report)

· Factory support, warehouse audits and product audits

· Co-work with engineering manager for new products and market quality issues

· Effectively interact with production/development teams in factory to maintain qualities of products

o Product Testing and Evaluation:

· Work with lab teams to develop robust testing methods

· Conduct product testing in the lab

· Incorporate lab findings with field test support

o Customer Based Quality Improvement:

· Field quality and Voice of Customer research for product quality improvement

o Desired Qualifications:

· Associates degree with advanced and progressive skills in the technical appliance industry

· Microsoft Office skills (such as Excel, PowerPoint)

· Knowledge of quality management

· Proactive work attitude

· Strong communication skills

· Knowledge in managing quality issues

· Skills of work planning including identifying action items

· Ability to work well with others in a collaborative environment.
