LEXISNEXIS is Hiring a Content Operations Analyst Near Dayton, OH
Accountabilities
Provides product and process expertise for assigned products (within the scope of 40-50 releases per year)
Acts as the primary contact between offshore vendors and LexisNexis, answering vendor questions and providing expert troubleshooting as needed.
Able to make solid independent judgments about the quality and timeliness of vendor work and to communicate any issues as appropriate.
- Responsible for the primary-level assessments of the vendor’s work and for providing accurate job-specific instructions to the vendor.
- Performs quality assurance reviews at key milestone stages and provides feedback to the vendor accordingly.
- Liaison between Content Development and the vendor for elaborating requirements, communicating project schedules, and status.
- Actively builds, maintains, and utilizes an extensive network across the company, including managing relationships with strategic partners and vendors. Seeks diverse ideas and perspectives from a variety of sources to create better solutions, products, and services
- Maintains tracking systems, vendor databases, and others as necessary Consults with stakeholders to find workarounds when systems or tools create delays, and raises technical implications for changes in business process and/or requirements.
- Escalates broader scale decisions to appropriate managers or points-of-contact. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of content, production tools/systems and their interdependencies, including expertise in XML and Suite of Neptune tools and familiarity with online, ebook and CD download platforms
- Excellent, demonstrated time and project management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Proven ability to adapt to new roles and responsibilities
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple locations and time zones
- Tenacity; ability to work through problems and reach a solution
- Ability to provide both detailed information and also summarize to a management level
- Flexibility and judgment to effectively handle ambiguous situations in order to meet the needs of team and department.
- Ability to teach, mentor, and oversee
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated initiative and the ability to quickly learn, retain, and become proficient in new software packages and technical skills
- PC proficiency required Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
