Overview

This position is responsible for coordinating and helping lead the day-to day EH&S functions for the factory, such as: compliance with all applicable Federal, State and/or local regulations, EH&S assessments, safety training programs, support workers compensation claims management, incident reporting and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the EH&S Factory Safety Standards to ensure compliance with all Federal, State and/or Local Occupational Health & Safety regulations and requirements
• Communicate to all stakeholders in written and verbal communication on regulatory matters that affect EH&S
• Work efficiently and effectively with Facility Managers to create improvements in processes, design, procedures & programs to minimize risk
• Develop and implement EH&S training & programs
• Review all injury and incident reports and analyze for follow-up
• Review and execute Emergency Action Plans
• Conduct analysis and coordinate actions to remove or mitigate identified safety exposures
• Participate in review and analysis of facility inspection reports
• Participate in special projects as assigned
• Attend training and education seminars as appropriate to learn regulatory requirements
• Deliver Safety and Environmental programs to individual and large groups of employees
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Associate Degree, or significant relevant experience in the EH&S discipline
• Safety Experience preferred in manufacturing or warehouse environment
• Certification, or working knowledge of OSHA Occupational Health & Safety Standards
• Minimum 3 years' relevant experience

Skills & Abilities

• Proficient in computer applications, including MS-Office
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills required
• Ability to construct and deliver training programs
• Ability to qualify for first aid certifications

Travel

• Up to 15%
