Grand Kahn Electric is looking for an ambitious Business Development Representative to grow with us! The Business Development Representative will learn from industry experts in commercial electrical construction while guiding the sales and marketing strategies.
Summary:The Business Development Representative produces bidding opportunities for the Grand Kahn Electric team by creating and cultivating new client relationships. The BD Representative will participate in networking events, identify prospective clients, build industry relationships, and coordinate promotional functions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build New Client Relationships
- Identify prospective customers and make initial contacts
- Lead networking initiatives to introduce potential clients to Grand Kahn Electric
- Participate in sales presentations
- Connect project team with bidding opportunities for new construction projects
- Strategically Grow Market Share
- Participate in development of strategic sales strategies and marketing plans
- Maintain and expand relationships with clients through a focused effort to increase key market sectors
- Collaborate with the Grand Kahn team
- Learn and be able to speak to the project management team’s capabilities to deliver top notch commercial electrical projects
- Develop marketing and promotional opportunities that increase sales
Education / Experience Requirements:
- 2 years of sales experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred
- Ability to understand the commercial electrical construction market and construction management
- Experience with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software such as Cosential a plus
