Responsibilities

  • Executes federal client specific proposals inclusive of SF330 proposal development, production and submission for each assigned Federal Market Sector pursuit; coordinates the support of SF33 and SF1449 proposal preparation for industry partners on assigned Design-Build pursuits
  • Prepares proposals, presentations, qualifications, and coordinates other marketing materials in compliance with company/brand standards while helping to maintain the best practices for all procedures
  • Initiates and conducts kick off meetings (review opportunity, Go/No Go criteria and suggested win- strategy for the proposal or presentation); leads the writing process; oversees proposal reviews; monitors schedules; obtains approvals (management sign off) and follows through to proposal submission; works closely with functional departments (often across multiple offices) to assure integrated approach
  • Processes inbound RFP, RFI, and RFQ requests; analyzes and outlines solicitations; coordinates formal RFIs to government contracting; communicates government RFI and amendment results to all proposal team members
  • Manages and assists in the development of the proposal’s outline, schedule, and win theme; makes all content assignments to both internal and external subject matter experts; tracks and ensures completion in accordance with the proposal schedule
  • Works collaboratively with Federal Client Managers, office market sector leaders and professionals, and each office’s marketing coordinator(s)
  • Reviews and provides critical analysis of proposal content and quality checks for compliance
  • Coordinates document development with graphic designers and print production
  • Edits technical portions of proposals according to company writing standards
  • Monitors proposals for accurate content and timely completion and shipping/delivery
  • Creates and/or selects diagrams, tables, charts, and other graphics to clearly communicate required information in collaboration with the Federal Client Managers
  • Coordinates with the company’s marketing and office marketing staff to arrange photography for appropriate projects and inclusion in the firm’s database
  • Collects, verifies, and updates in the firm’s CRM
  • Coordinates with project managers to collect, maintain and store appropriate images, graphics, renderings, sketches, history, and descriptions of projects
  • Maintains firm-wide database of subconsultant qualifications/information while working closely with the Federal Small Business Programs Manager regarding any database information relating to small business subconsultants or prime partners
  • Coordinates with Corporate Marketing other marketing initiatives, such as internal and external meetings, seminars, sponsorships, presentations and other marketing events
  • Collaborates with all federal agency Client Managers to develop and implement the federal business plan; assist with market research through research initiatives to identify potential clients and assess potential opportunities based on firm’s criteria

Qualifications

  • Four (4) year degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or related field -OR- Eight (8) plus years of service marketing experience
  • Minimum Five (5) of the Eight (8) years with demonstrated experience in providing proposal and marketing services in the A/E/C industry, specifically with DoD or GSA
  • Demonstrated familiarity with best practices of capture planning, proposal development, and proposal management in all aspects of developing winning SF330 proposals
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple concurrent deadlines and changing priorities while producing top quality proposals
  • Demonstrated ability to interact at all levels of internal organization including senior management

Required Skill Requirements:

  • Must exhibit high energy, enthusiasm, positive attitude and poise; articulate and confident
  • Must be a critical thinker; ability to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approach to problems
  • Must have strong data management skills
  • Must be proficient in use and application of Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and Deltek Vision and /or Vantagepoint
  • Excellent team, organizational and project management skills (process-oriented)
  • Critical thinker; ability to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approach to problems
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently manage own time while coordinating the contributions of others
  • Strong proficiency in writing, editing proofreading, and layout skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to shift easily between working as part of or leading a proposal
  • Strong composition and editing skills; attention to detail and full ownership of the final product quality and accuracy

Preferred Qualification:

  • Active membership/certification with SMPS and/or APMP is preferred; knowledge of and certification in Shipley or other proposal development process is preferred
