Lehigh Hanson is Hiring a Payroll Administrator Near Beaumont, TX

The Company and the Role:
Corliss Resources is a division of Lehigh Hanson. Lehigh Hanson is North America’s leading supplier of cement, aggregates, ready mix concrete, and asphalt. We have hundreds of plants and thousands of employees working across the United Sates and Canada. We are also part of Heidelberg Cement Group, one of the world’s largest building materials companies.
Reporting to the Business Operations Manager the Payroll Administrator will support the Corliss Resources payroll operations. This position is located in Redmond WA.
Key Targets of the Role

  • The primary responsibility of the Payroll Administrator is to ensure a timely and accurate payroll in the Kronos time capture system for the company’s hourly employees in accordance with the applicable State and Federal statutory requirements, and Lehigh Hanson internal controls and procedures. 

What You’ll Get to Do

  • Work closely with employees and management to ensure time is being recorded and approved accurately and timely.

  • Compile and enter data into the Kronos payroll software and reconcile errors as needed.

  • Work closely with HR Admin to ensure that employee records are correct and employee pay is accurate.

  • Ensure that all proper approvals have been obtained regarding timecards, leave requests, etc. before processing.

  • Recognize, input and code prevailing wage hours correctly into the payroll software.

  • File required prevailing wage forms and reports, such as intents, affidavits, certified weekly payroll reports and other required documents.

  • Work with sales team to understand upcoming prevailing wage jobs.

  • Work with human resources to open new prevailing wage jobs and to maintain correct pay and fringe rates.

  • Other administrative duties as assigned.

Essential Experience and Skills

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Sound spreadsheet, computer system and report writing skills.

  • Possess a high level of confidentially and professionalism working with HR, management, and employees.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to learn and retain rules and processes.

  • Extreme attention to details.

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Experience with payroll and/or prevailing wage laws strongly preferred.

  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office products.

  • Kronos payroll software experience a plus.
