Lehigh Hanson is seeking a qualified Logistics Specialist for our Mason City Iowa Cement Plant.
Here’s what you’ll get to do:
• Handling call-in orders and scheduling deliveries for suppliers that require delivery coordination: Raw Materials; Alt. Fuels; Special Equipment or Materials Orders – Coordinate w/Storeroom Supervisor 
• Cement Manufacturing Materials-Quality Control Aspects:
o Tracking of Vendor Compliance w/Material Quality Specifications 
o Track and Maintain Annhydrite Gypsum, Rock Gypsum, SynGyp, and Grinding aid Inventories and coordinate supply decisions with Operations, Quality, and Purchasing Mgmt
o Track and Maintain Alternative Fuels Supply (Obsolete Seed; RDF, etc.) and daily reporting of fuels inventory to Accounting
o Track and Maintain BOL documents with Bypass Dust/CKD loads
• Managing insurance compliance for paid haulers
• Building relationships with suppliers to create top-of-mind awareness for Lehigh Hanson products.
• Managing activities within assigned cost budgets.
• Cement Shipping Supervisor Fill-In/Vacation Relief Coverage
• Assist as back-up support for Purchasing Buyer and Storeroom Inventory Management/Controls.
• Assist with inventory accuracy and cost reduction projects.
Essential Experience and Skills
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred
• Prefer 1-3 experience in materials distribution coordination/mgmt
• Experience in heavy building materials, concrete, asphalt, construction, or building materials distribution channels.
• Demonstrable high communication skills (verbal and written).
• Demonstrable experience working with financial statements.
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
