Legion Logistics is Hiring a Remote New Business Development Specialist

New Business Development (Prospector I) | Salary $60,000

Remote - Logistics Experience PreferredThe Prospector is responsible for selling to a variety of industries throughout North America. 

This role is part of our New Business Development team, which has been designed to ensure that you spend all day, every day doing what you love—making sales calls. (We have other folks to do the prospect research, customer service and pricing.) 

Your reason for being at Legion is to close great customers. Lots of them.For the first 180 days:

  • Should be spending your days calling the prospect lists we provide, making at least 75 customer touches per day.
  • You will participate in regular internal meetings each week. This includes our daily 15-minute Work in Progress meetings, two 15-minute company-wide meetings, and one 45-minute NBD Team meeting per week.

Within 90 days, make at least 80 customer touches and quote at least 8 customers, daily.

  • To reach this goal, you should spend the majority of your day in protected calling time, working the lists of prospects our Campaign Coordinator provides you.
  • You will work with the Operations team to return quotes to customers in a timely fashion.
  • You will manage the first three shipments a customer moves with us before executing a handoff to the Problem Solver® team for ongoing account management.
  • After 60 days, an in-depth review will be conducted to analyze your activity and result metrics, specifically in making customer touches and returning quotes to customers.

After 180 days, you will be closing an average of 5 new customers per month. You will still have the overall support and guidance provided by your manager and the NBD team if you run into questions or concerns.

  • With that, your goal will be to make 100 customer touches per day, send at least 10 customer quotes, and hand off to the Problem Solver® team any customers for which Legion has moved at least three loads.

Your goal for the first year is to close and hand off to the Problem Solver® team at least 40 new customers.
