POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director, Talent Management will partner with US HR colleagues, Global Talent Management and the US leadership team to develop talent strategies, organizational development strategies and develop & execute talent initiatives to address organizational needs for the Lundbeck US organization. Reporting to the VP, Human Resources, this role will oversee talent management processes and initiatives for the US including the performance management, organizational review, succession planning, leadership development, mentoring, career pathing and internal talent mobility. Additionally, this role will focus on organizational effectiveness and change management for Lundbeck US as well as strategic HR initiatives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Partner with HR leaders and the US business leadership team to develop & implement a talent strategy to align with and support the US business strategy
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners to ensure that talent and performance management processes and programs including goal setting, performance management, development plans, succession planning, and organizational review are well executed to maximize impact to organizational effectiveness, talent development and critical organizational capabilities
- Develop talent strategies and innovative targeted initiatives to proactively develop key talent and future leaders
- Responsible for oversight of the Talent Review process in the US to identify key talent and identify development actions to accelerate development and succession readiness.
- Lead the development and implementation of workforce planning for the Lundbeck US organization
- Partner with HR leaders and US leadership team to identify critical organization capabilities and develop solutions and programs to develop those capabilities through experiences, mentoring, training and other tactics.
- Ensure that the principles of diversity, equity and inclusion are prioritized and woven into talent strategies, programs and initiatives with a focus on driving a culture of equality where all employees can bring their true authentic self to work and develop to be at their best
- Utilizes data, metrics and insights to assess the health of the talent pipeline and determine effectiveness of talent management initiatives and programs
- Improve organizational effectiveness through the development and effective execution of solutions to improve leadership capabilities, create a culture of performance, engagement and development.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives utilizing employee feedback and data to focus efforts to enhance employee engagement and retention throughout the organization
- Partner with HR Business Partners and Compensation & Benefits to effectively link performance & rewards processes to reinforce a culture of performance and development
- Lead HR strategic initiatives for the organization as assigned
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and SKILLS:
- Accredited Bachelor's Degree
- 12 years of HR, Organizational Development orLearning & Developmentexperience
- A breadth of understanding across the areas of people and organization
- Demonstrated experience creating value through talent and leadership development initiatives
- Ability to effectively interact and consult with colleagues at all levels in the organization
- Demonstrated talent management & OD expertise including capability assessment, key talent development and workforce planning
- Ability to effectively assess talent, coach, mentor, consult, provide constructive development feedback and influence others throughout the organization without direct authority
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills
- Understanding of adult learning theories and ability to identify innovative approaches to deliver training & development solutions to the employee base throughout the US including office, field sales and lab environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading strategic HR and/or people initiatives across a matrixed organization
PREFERREDEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and SKILLS:
- Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology experience is preferred but not required
- Advanced degree in HR, Organizational Development, Business or related field
- Business integration experience related to people, talent and culture
- Experience in instructional design and development of training
TRAVEL:
- Ability to travel up to 15% domestically. Some international travel may be required.
