With your strong interpersonal skills, you will guide patients through laboratory services obligations calmly and compassionately. Your ability to interpret pertinent regulations from governmental and state licensing commissions will provide a smooth interaction with patients and their families in what can be a stressful time in their lives. Legacy Health System’s Laboratory is an integrated lab service. Staff may be assigned to lab facilities at different places in the system. The incumbent functions as the primary liaison between Legacy Laboratory Services and the Client and/or patient. Assists patients and their families as needed with handling their laboratory obligations arising from patient services by interpreting pertinent regulations from governmental and state licensing commissions. Receives and appropriately resolves client services issues as a member of the laboratory team. Staff members are responsible for demonstrating optimal interpersonal skills through effective communication and cooperation with co-workers. Applies knowledge of anatomic, physiological and, as relevant, psychological processes, to provide appropriate service to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric patients, and patients with special needs.
Education: High School graduate or equivalent
Experience:
Required: Six months experience with customer service or public relations
Preferred: Two years clinical laboratory experience
