A National Health Service Corp Certified Site for further information visit https://nhsc.hrsa.gov/loan-repayment/state-loan-repayment-program/index.html Position Summary:Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Legacy Behavioral Health Services (LBHS) is responsible for operationalizing and executing LBHS’s strategy. Provides leadership and directs the overall operation of Legacy Behavioral Health Services (LBHS) programs/services consistent with policies and objectives of the organization and its Governing Board. Direct reports include the Clinical Director, BHCC Director, Director of Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities, and Director of Residential Services.SERVICES/WORK UNITS UNDER EMPLOYEE’S DIRECT SUPERVISIONOutpatient Clinics- Adult/Child & Adolescent Services (Lowndes/Cook/Tifton); Peer Support, ACT, SE, HUM, MAT/OBOT, PATH & HIV TestingBHCCIntellectual & Developmental Disabilities (IDDs)Residential ServicesCritical Responsibilities/CompetenciesOversees operational processes, guides initiatives and steers staff towards achievement of goals and objectives.Design, plan and implement business strategies, plans and proceduresSet comprehensive goals for business growth and successEstablish policies and procedures that promote LBHS culture, vision, and meets regulatory/contractional requirements.Works with CFO and related financial operations to ensure realization of fiscal business plan.Maintains program/service accreditation and licensure standards of CARF, ASO, Medicare, Medicaid, state licensure and regulatory agencies. Partners effectively with CSB. Accountable for building and developing team to meet LBHS mission and achieve SBP goals and objectives.Reinforces and shapes the LBHS culture to promote client centric approach to care delivery.Develops relationships and affiliations, which promote the success of LBHS and mental health/IDD in 10 county service area.Serves on community, regional, state, and DBHDD behavioral health boards/committees.Maintains high quality LBHS operations by coordinating LBHS staff in connection with quality improvement and quality assurance programs and such other quality control programs as may be established.Establishes and attends meetings to provide pertinent information related to LBHS operations and the provisions of quality health care.Serves as a liaison between LBHS and CSB, medical staff and stakeholders.Interprets public policy, economic developments, and pubic/stakeholder opinion in meeting organizational goals.Prepares and presents operational and financial reports as required in regularly scheduled meetings and committees, as well as for LBHS CEO and leadership team.Performs other duties as assigned. Work Hours: Monday- Friday 8am-5pm with 24hours/day/7 days/week call availability for emergencies.Qualifications:Master’s degree in health care administration, Business Administration or health care field required15 years’ experience in healthcare administration and management or related field required. Familiar with business concepts including HR, Financial Management, Performance Improvement, Marketing, Information Technology, and business infrastructure.Hands on experience in strategic planning and business developmentGood knowledge of data analysis and KPIsOutstanding organizational and time management skillsExcellent interpersonal and leadership skillsGreat communication and presentation skillsProblem-solving mindsetWorking Conditions:SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be physically and emotionally fit to work in a stress-filled environment to meet deadlines and deal with routine and crisis situations. May have extended periods of sitting, walking, and standing. Requires varying hours of duty to provide monitoring, educational and/or crisis handling, as well as travel to off campus locations in LBHS or personal vehicle. May be exposed to infectious diseases.Physical Requirements: Requires the ability to exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
