Responsibilities:

• Procurement of products and services negotiating the best possible cost, ensuring delivery in a specified timeframe.
• Research and negotiate contracts with suppliers and manufacturers
• Identifying potential suppliers and new products
• Keep detailed records and maintain a well-organized work schedule
• Effectively managing challenges with suppliers and the flow of materials
• Ensuring compliance with safety, health and environment requirements of materials and services
• Liaising closely with the estimator to ensure that an accurate project cost is provided
• Preparing and maintaining inventory cost reports to maximize efficiency within the company
• Work with finance team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned orders
• Develop an effective and accurate system for monitoring purchase orders
• Analyze all quotes and reach out to vendors for best pricing

Requirements:

• Associates or bachelor’s degree or 2 years of related experience
• Experience in the construction industry
• Knowledge and understanding of construction materials and equipment
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong analytical thinking skills
• Strong negotiation skills
