Lee Douglas Interiors is looking for a creative and strategic individual to join its marketing team. This person will develop and create content for social media platforms and websites for the Lee Douglas Interiors brands. The Marketing Specialist will also be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to copywriting, photography and videography, researching trends, managing a content schedule, and helping plan effective campaigns and events.

This person must be an out-of-the-box thinker with strong attention to detail. Our ideal candidate is a hardworking, creative and effective communicator. The Marketing Specialist must be comfortable working independently and as part of a team, must be self-motivated, and work well with others. Professional dress and acumen are required. This exempt position requires availability to work some holidays, evenings, and weekends and travel between offices.

Website/Ecommerce – Workflow: Products, Photography, Write Descriptions, Upload and Publish on Backend

Identify and Implement New Vendors – from setup to in-home delivery

Competitive Research/Data

Social Media Content Creations, Posting, Engagement & Grow Channels – to include but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest…

Track Social Analytics and Generate Monthly Reports

Social Media Community Management – Respond, Like, Engage, Direct Messages

Collaborate and Execute Marketing Calendar/Including Strategies for Social Media, Promotional Event

Monitor Popular Social Media Accounts Within the Home Industry

Influencer Research/Collaborations

Develop Topics, Calendar & Ghost Write Monthly Blog

Email Creation and Mailings

Create Product Videos – Develop Best Practices for Social and Product Page

Develop Quarterly Class Ideas

Identify and Participate in Industry Event

Assist with Other Marketing Duties as Assigned

Minimum Qualifications (knowledge, skills & abilities):

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business preferred

Minimum of two years related experience

Knowledge and understanding of social media tools and digital marketing best practices

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Proficiency with operating basic camera, lighting and sound equipment

Experience with video editing software and basic editing techniques

Basic photo editing capabilities utilizing Photoshop and/or InDesign

Experience creating basic graphic design

Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including proofreading and creative copywriting

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Creative instinct, passion for marketing and deep customer empathy

Familiarity with digital media platforms

Strong analytical skills with ability to find actionable, pragmatic solutions to complex problems

Ability to adapt in a dynamic and ambiguous environment
