A globally-owned manufacturer needs an innovative professional with strong business acumen for their Controller role in Rochester, NH. You will help ensure overall success of our client’s organization by effectively managing all financial and human resources functions and overseeing budgeting and accounting. Previous manufacturing accounting experience is required for this excellent full time, direct hire role!

Responsibilities of the Controller

• Develop and maintain financial statements and reports
• Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures
• Prepare information for audits
• Oversee accounting staff and develop financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory control, cost accounting, and petty cash
• Prepare monthly reconciliations
• Manage process to recruit, hire, and onboard new employees
• Maintain personnel files
• Review weekly payroll
• Manage employee benefits
• Oversee employee handbook, organizational chart, and annual employee review process
• Ensure regulatory compliance
• Perform other tasks and projects as assigned

Qualifications of the Controller

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field
• 7 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Creative thinker who can adapt to changes in the work environment
• Computer proficiency including MS Office Suite
