The Role
LeafLink is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our growing data team and work towards building and maintaining a solid suite of analytic products. The ideal candidate will be able to take project ownership and deliver based on objectives. You have an analytical mindset and the ability to implement analytics solutions that scale. You enjoy working across the data stack spectrum: creating reporting products by translating business questions into analytics requirements and creating data sources from the warehouse to automate the pipeline. You are comfortable presenting recommendations to business stakeholders from prototyped reporting products while being equally comfortable diving into the backend and writing code to scale the prototype. The ideal candidate should be personable, efficient, and rooted in an experimentative and fact-based mindset. Bringing people along, communicating and gathering feedback on plans with internal and external stakeholders, and collaborating cross-functionally should come easily to the candidate. Exposure to analytics and reporting at a technology company is a strong plus.

What You'll Be Doing

• Be instrumental in building a best-in-class data organization and client-facing data products
• Building processes and code bases for reporting pipelines using dbt and BI tools
• Convert raw data into actionable information by applying business logic and utilizing clean analytics workflows
• Custodian of quality of the final source of truth data being served to business users
• Desire to learn the needs of the business and your stakeholders to ensure value-based delivery
• Effectively "ask why" when interacting with stakeholders
• Conducting knowledge-sharing sessions and demonstrating project results to an audience at a regular cadence

What You'll Bring to the Team

3 years of experience in an analytics engineering role or related discipline

Expert level dbt, Airflow, data modeling, and orchestration

Expert-level skills in writing optimized SQL for creating, updating, and querying tables

Advanced level skills in using Python for data processing and analysis at scale

Experience in building reporting products using BI tools like Tableau, Looker, etc.

Experience working in a modern data stack environment (preferably built on AWS)

Well-versed in version control systems (Git)

Comfortable working in a fast-paced growth business with many collaborators

Experience working as a business analyst or in a BI role (strong plus)

Base salary dependent on experience and location $115,000 - $185,000/year
