Manage the Compliance quality control, testing, and monitoring programs for the NewRez Origination division. Work closely with the Exam Management, Change Management, Internal Audit, and PMO departments and incorporate results into testing and monitoring programs. Oversee monthly HMDA testing and monitoring and the submission of the quarterly NewRez HMDA LAR, and the annual NewRez and JV HMDA LARs. Work with the business channels, IT, and Change Management to cure HMDA data issues. Report results to management monthly or as required. Principal Duties Manage a team responsible for the following: Loan origination compliance quality control Origination testing and monitoring HMDA data testing, remediation, and reporting for NewRez and all JVs Ensure NewRez is compliant with Federal, State and Municipal laws Review findings from various audits including Internal Audit and State exams and create testing and monitoring of remediation activities Work closely with SMS to utilize the CallMiner system to perform call monitoring Work closely with various departments to ensure monitoring and testing results are remediated Create and manage an Origination Compliance Dashboard that displays key compliance indicators through automation and reporting Manage staff, plan responsibilities, direct activities, and utilizes staff resources effectively, to meet goals Utilize performance management and performance review processes to maximize performance of employees. Correct performance problems, provide development opportunities, and promote effective communication with employees Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in business related field or equivalent Five (5) years of mortgage banking experience at a seasoned level with working knowledge of the lending process including processing, closing, and post-closing functions Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements Ability to write procedural documentation Ability to create testing and monitoring programs Knowledge of compliance regulations and their applicability to business process Understanding of the loan origination process and systems Thorough knowledge of compliance laws and regulations related to mortgage banking compliance and demonstrated ability to apply to business processes Ability to report and present findings to various departments While this description is intended to be an accurate reflection of the position’s requirements, it in no way implies/states that these are the only job responsibilities.
