Exceed the expectations of our residential mortgage borrowers & business partners through superior service, simple processes, and effective communications. Responsibilities: Draft both internal and external leadership communications, effectively capturing the voice, tone, and strategic priorities of executive leader(s). Help drive thought leadership and impact, as well as culture and D&I through communications. Internal communication tasks include employee emails for company milestones, leadership changes, holidays, and company news. External communication needs include preparing the CEO and other select executives for high-priority speaking opportunities including the development of speaking points, key messaging, speeches, briefing materials, etc. Develop presentations for company town halls, videos, and company sales retreats. Coordinate virtual and in-person employee engagement opportunities for executive leadership, maintain annual planning calendar, and partner with internal stakeholders. Work across the organization, building relationships with a broad range of cross-functional stakeholders, to develop and deliver compelling, accurate messaging. Conduct extensive research on the mortgage and broader finance industry. Prepare regular updates to leadership on housing market trends and competitor news. This is a strategic role that provides a significant opportunity for business impact, breadth of communication experience, cross-team collaboration, and exec visibility. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communication, Public Relations, or related field. 3-5 years experience in communications. Experience in the financial industry is a plus. Ability to clearly articulate complex issues both verbally and in written form. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with executive leadership. Detail-oriented with great organizational skills. Fast learner; able to assimilate and implement new ideas. Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to work independently with little or no daily supervision. Effective at managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong analytical skills & problem-solving abilities. A high degree of professional maturity, integrity, ability to maintain confidential data and information. Preferably based in New York City, with the ability for occasional travel. Alternately, the position could also be based in Charlotte, NC with the ability to travel to NYC a couple of times a month.
