CSM’s Creative Department is hiring a Graphic Designer to add to our NYC-based team of communicators, storytellers, and problem-solvers. We’re a fast-paced, energetic, group who love inspiring people and inspiring action. We are looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented individual who is passionate about connecting consumers to culture and brands. You will work for worthy causes and for top tier clients in sports, entertainment, technology, media, lifestyle, and beauty. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: You are a visual storyteller and well-rounded designer. Visual identity, typography and layouts are the subjects of your kingdom, you keep a pulse on pop culture and have an interest in solving client briefs through design solutions. You have strong conceptual ideation. You’re formally trained and/or have extensive experience as graphic designer / communications designer. You dominate printing techniques but can create graphics for different mediums, particularly all things experiential, presentation design, environmental graphics, signage, and branding for the physical and digital worlds. Perhaps you love photography or advertising and have wet your feet in UX/UI design or motion graphics. You love thinking as much as making, crave teaching as well as listening and you are excited about being part of a collaborative team environment. Responsibilities: Ideate innovative solutions for meeting client goals in compelling ways Collaborate with a team to assess strategy and design for the client's brand experience End-to-end creation and execution of a broad array of visual communication pieces (VIS, presentations, toolkits, packaging, premiums, signage packages, social media graphics, collateral, environmental graphics, etc.) Collaborate with a team of creative designers & strategists, architects and production artists and working closely with other CSM teams (business development, accounts, partnerships, PR/communications and digital) as appropriate Coordinate with vendors and account teams to complete the job in a timely and cost-effective manner Oversee installations on site as needed, ability to travel for projects THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED: 2-4 years of professional experience serving multiple clients. Agency or commercial studio experience is preferred Strong and rapid visual communication skills, whether hand sketching, mock-ups, 2D or 3D renders Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, with emphasis on InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator Advanced knowledge of presentation software including Keynote, PowerPoint, Google Slides Strong graphic/typography skills and a keen eye for exceptional aesthetic executions Strong comfort level researching mediums in which you may never have worked (video, interactive technology, social media, emerging technologies, etc.) to grant flawless execution Innate desire and ability to always be ahead of the curve and aware of the next big thing Experience with FIGMA, AdobeXD or other product prototyping software a plus; at a minimum, strong skills wireframing for UI/UX and directing digital teams Knowledge of aftereffects and motion graphics a big plus Experience in conceptual content development and video editing; at a minimum, strong skills storyboarding and collaborating with photographers, videographers, directors and/or content teams. Based in NYC is preferred, but not required Strong, ego-less leadership skills We value skills, aesthetic, and collaborative personality equally.
