Layco Electric Innovations is Hiring a Human Resources Administrator ($65K+Possible) Near Tulsa, OK

LAYCO Electric Innovations, a $30M manufacturer experiencing rapid growth is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Human Resources Administrator. Overview:.

The HR Administrator will provide comprehensive support in the day-to-day operations of human resources (including occupational health & safety), cultivating a family like environment by working closely with other departments to provide a customer-focused, effective HR service to the organization for the achievement of the organization’s goals and objectives. To include ensuring the efficient delivery of salary payments and adjustments, the recruitment processes, employee benefit administration, new employee orientation and on-boarding, and the accuracy and maintenance of employee records.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level management.
  • Prepares and posts job advertisements, screens applications, arranges interviews, participates in the selection process.
  • Prepares documentation for new hires, or changes in pay, status, or benefits.
  • Establishes, maintains, and controls employee records, recruitment records, files, correspondence, reports, and organization charts.
  • Coordinates training events or programs and recommends resources, as needed.
  • Creates and monitors new hire orientation programs.
  • Administers drug, criminal record checks and other pre-employment screening.
  • Aids in monitoring employee performance appraisals and compensation.
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
  • Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
  • Recommends strategies and new safety initiatives to improve safety performance and processes, and increase safety awareness.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll (currently ADP) management, and similar computer applications.
  • Overtime should be expected (45-50hrs/week)

Education and Experience:

  • Degree in Human Resource Management (desired)
  • 5 years HR experience (manufacturing environment preferred)
  • Employee Health and Safety experience a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
