Lawton Business Solutions is Hiring a Project Manager Near Fort Myers, FL
We are currently looking to fill a position opening as a Project Manager for our Commercial Roofing Company. The ideal candidate must have extensive project management experience, as well as roofing industry experience. Applicant must have strong personable skills and be able to effectively communicate with our customers. Applicant will be required to maintain, submit on time, and complete Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Reports, as well as any other documents required by our customers for each project assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews approved submittals and contracts before commencement of projects
- Monitors job sites and attends job site meetings
- Meet with inspectors, owners, superintendents and other subcontractors
- Ability to produce a schedule based on job readiness.
- Solves and/or refers field problems as they arise
- Complies with and enforces all personnel and safety policies
- Coaches and counsels Crew members and Superintendents
- Confirms satisfactory completion of municipal inspections.
- Dispatches all crews and confirm crew payroll information, to include piecework calculation
- Monitor jobs to insure quality and proper compliance with company standards
- Responsible for schedule, RFI's, submittals and change orders
- Recommend improvements, changes or new techniques and procedures.
- Price/invoice extra work authorizations from customers
- Verify that crews follow safety procedures set by OSHA
- Carry out specific work plans as assigned by management.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of roofing and/or construction experience
- Must be able to meet and communicate effectively with Engineers, Consultants, Building Officials, and Clients on job site visits and other meetings.
- Understand and manage scheduling, record keeping, and can deal effectively with people.
- Must be able to read and understand blue prints and construction specifications..
- Must have basic computer skills, including the use of emails via smart phone/tablet.
- Bilingual (English / Spanish) a plus
- Participates in continuous improvement education/training programs to maintain current technology and methodology as specified by management.
- Must be able to pass a drug test
