The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Production Planner (Supply Chain Analyst), you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Working closely with the manufacturing team and value stream leadership to determine how best to resolve supply constraints to balance service, inventory, and cost to meet business targets Procure raw material and communicate to suppliers on future requirements to support production plan Knowing, understanding, and improving key metrics like Backorders, Lead Time Adherence, OTIF, Inventory, etc. These topics will require daily communications and participation in the Tier process. Actively manage working and non-working inventories in assigned businesses to maintain compliance and achieve inventory investment targets Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve service, inventory turns, and non-working inventory Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution AND two (2) years of combined experience in supply chain, planning, logistics, and/or manufacturing in a private, public, government or military environment OR High School Diploma/GED from AND six (6) years of combined experience in supply chain, planning, logistics, and/or manufacturing in a private, public, government or military environment Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain, Operations Management, and/or Business Analytics from an accredited institution APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) CPIM certification is preferred. If not complete at the time this position is assumed, the certification will become part of the employee professional development plan as agreed between management and the employee. Experience in Production Planning as well as SAP, Factory Planner, PMCS/IMES and Peoplesoft Software experience. Strong data mining, data analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and self-motivational skills Work location: Flemington, NJ (on-site) Travel: May include up to 10% domestic Relocation Assistance: May be authorized Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
