Law School Admission Council is Hiring a Remote Business Development Coordinator

Overview

LSAC is a not-for-profit corporation devoted to promoting and furthering the quality, access, and fairness of the law school admission process by providing core products and services to law school candidates and law schools in the United States and throughout the world. LSAC’s mission is to advance law and justice by encouraging diverse, talented individuals to study law and by supporting their enrollment and learning journeys from prelaw through practice.

Summary of Position:

This position is responsible for supporting the business development efforts within the LSAC LawHub – Professional Learning segment, in collaboration with the segment’s senior director, fellow LawHub team members, and enterprise-wide marketing, communications, and business development colleagues. This individual must be a hands-on operator, supporting the operations of the LawHub Professional Learning segment business development function as well as daily execution to quickly identify and qualify opportunities for new and existing customers.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for conducting, compiling, and communicating research about prospective and current customers, as well as occasional marketplace intelligence projects to ensure responsiveness to customers’ learning and professional development needs.
  • Assist with the creation of business development presentations and pitches and maintain these as our business grows and evolves.
  • Ensure that all customer and prospect data within our CRM is current, complete, and organized in a manner that allows for easy review and reporting.
  • Work with enterprise-wide marketing, communications, and business development colleagues to refine and implement effective messaging and other go-to-market approaches.
  • Maintain familiarity of key market trends and industry events; integrate important information and data into presentations and conversations. 

Qualifications

Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a field appropriate to the area (e.g., marketing, sales) and at least 2 years of related experience; OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience speaking and writing clearly and persuasively.
  • Proficiency in using a CRM and any other tools and methodologies used to generate and report market and customer insights.
  • Strong business acumen, project management, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to partner with colleagues at all levels within the organization to deliver results.
  • Thorough and Detail-Oriented.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • Proficient in any major customer relationship management (CRM) software tool (e.g., Dynamics, HubSpot).
  • Able to Make Data-Driven recommendations.
  • Able to Work Collaboratively.
  • Positive Attitude and Demeanor.
  • Proactive Approach to Problem-Solving.
  • Able to Prioritize and Shift Priorities Comfortably.
  • Excellent Written and Oral Communication Skills.
