OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH NURSE NP/PA

Location: Boston, MA area
Compensation: Salary range up to $140K with excellent Benefits
Schedule: Full Time Monday - Friday (Day Shift) -will consider 4 days (10-hour shifts)

This busy hospital in the Boston, MA area, has a need for an Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their team.
OVERVIEW OF POSITON

• Provides diagnosis, treatment, consultation, and follow-up under the direction of 1 or more physicians in the clinic.
• Provides age and specialty-appropriate medical care at the level of training achieved.
• Responsible and accountable for the application of the nursing process, supervision of clinical practice, research involvement, consultative services, inter and intradepartmental liaison, education, leadership, and patient care management across the healthcare continuum from preventative, acute care through discharge.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

• Master's degree in nursing required. Completion of an accredited educational program for nurse practitioners or physician assistants is required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

• Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts with authorization by the Board of Registration in Nursing to practice in an expanded role.
• Registered with the ANCC or other accrediting organization for Nurse Practitioners.
• Registered with the State of Massachusetts and DEA for prescription writing privileges.
• Current BLS and ACLS Certification.

EXPERIENCE:

• A minimum of three years of current clinical nursing experience and
• Two years of experience in adult practice are required.
• Prior experience in Occupational Health is preferred.
