FULL-TIME / EXEMPT

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Associate Director of Public Funding, the Contracts Analyst is responsible for ensuring that our programs contractual agreements are met and supported by internal agency policies and procedures. This role provides high-level oversight to programs across the agency and is an integral member of the management team, working collaboratively with our colleagues in program, data, and finance to ensure we are meeting or exceeding expectations. This role supports the agencys mission by stewarding and continuing program funding and seeking opportunities to enhance program performance.

Larkin Streets Public Funding team works (1) to secure and maintain public contracts with federal, state, and local government agencies and (2) to support Larkin Streets programs with all aspects of public contracting, including procuring, renewing, negotiating, monitoring, reporting, and performance management.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

As a key member of the Public Funding team, the Contracts Analyst is responsible for the following functions:

  • Monitor housing and service contract objectives, informing program leadership of performance challenges, and working with staff to drive continuous quality improvement.
  • Assist the Associate Director of Public Funding and Director of Grants and Contracts with budget monitoring, and meet with program and finance teams to troubleshoot, adjust, or modify contract budgets, as necessary.
  • Lead quarterly contract monitoring meetings with colleagues from program, finance, and data teams to ensure we are meeting contract goals on time and on budget. Brainstorm and implement continuous quality improvement as needed.
  • Partner with the Associate Director of Public Funding to assess contract terms and conditions and address any compliance or reporting issues, as necessary.
  • Participate in regular meetings with program staff to understand needs and trends throughout the agency.
  • Actively support and contribute to a public funding strategy that aligns with strategic initiatives, agency needs, and developing trends in the youth homelessness response system.
  • Build and maintain relationships with agency staff and community partners.

Minimum Qualifications


EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study or equivalent experience.

BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-2 years of experience with nonprofit contracts or grants.
  • Working knowledge or lived experience of youth homelessness.
  • Passion for Larkin Streets mission, programs, and core operating principles.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Good judgment with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience with MS Office and Salesforce (or similar platforms).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative work style with a teamwork mindset.
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing deadlines.
  • Ability to work with a diverse staff and excel in a multicultural environment.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Project management experience preferred
  • Budget and finance skills preferred
