The Larimer County IT Department is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join an established team of professional self-starters in our Project Management Office (PMO)!

  • Leads large, complex enterprise-wide projects throughout the entire project life cycle.
  • Works through complicated issues, facilitates discussions, and refines the outcomes into actionable plans and processes.
  • Creates and develops lasting positive vendor and customer relationships.
  • Applies agile methodologies for agile projects including performing the scrum master role. 
  • Uses standardized templates and tools, connects stakeholders, manages timelines and budgets while offering organizational change management solutions.

  • Build relationships with partners, including Sponsors, Product Owners, and users.
  • Provide full and accurate visibility of project status.
  • Be flexible and adaptable; ability to work in ambiguous situations.
  • Be highly organized, self-motivated, and lead without direct authority. 
All candidates will be screened for the following required minimum qualifications. Any candidate who does not meet all of the qualifications listed as required will be eliminated from the process. 
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience, in Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, or a related field is required. Related education or experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
  • Five (5) years project management and/or program management experience required.
  • Three (3) years experience in managing information technology projects or related fields required.
  • Three (3) year experience in Agile/Scrum required.
  • Project Manager Professional (PMP) Certification within 12 months of hire date required.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification within 12 months of hire date required.
  • Possess reliable transportation to be able to work anywhere in the County as needed and required.

This position is located in colorado.  An offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
