Core responsibilities of this position include:
The Electrical Technician position is a full-time, 12-month, benefitted position responsible for the overall inspection, maintenance, installation and repair of electrical equipment and circuits; examples include but are not limited to repair of parts and/or complete electrical and communications distribution systems including power and lighting circuits, feeders, panel-boards, fire alarms, uninterrupted power supplies, variable frequency drives and primary distribution systems for LCCC. This position ensures a productive working and learning environment for students, faculty and staff by providing excellent customer service, professional appearance, timely work and expert communication skills. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: respond to service requests; provides installation, maintenance and repairs to systems to include building electrical devices, wiring, low and medium limited voltage distribution systems; assists in the maintenance and repair of commercial heating and air conditioning equipment, kitchen equipment and or including building automation system, and other college equipment as needed. Must be able to operate, Building Automation System (BAS) along with install and repair various electrical, electronic and pneumatic control systems components. Evaluate & Inspect facility and site conditions to report required repairs and preventative maintenance actions. This position also contacts, supervises, and monitors completion of contracted/warrantied work for repairs, assessment, and improvements. This job supports overall department projects, assists in other functional areas, and provides risk management mitigation to all aspects of the job while following and supporting safety procedures, and actively monitoring workplace/jobsite safety.

Compensation: This is a Classified 8 position. Starting hourly wage: $24.49.
