LAKESIDE SOFTWARE is Hiring a Technical Product Manager Near Boston, MA

As our first Technical Product Manager, you will be a key part of defining and driving the foundation upon which Lakeside's product strategy rests. You will be responsible for a technical product roadmap and high-profile initiatives that will help achieve our vision. Your natural curiosity will drive you to learn about our customer’s complex technical problems and you will use your abilities to ask the right questions, challenge assumptions, and collaborate to find optimal solutions.

What you'll get to do: 

  • Own the end-to-end of delivery of large, high-impact product changes, from inception to implementation and enablement
  • Develop a deep understanding of Systrack’s underlying technologies, processes, and architecture
  • Identify and develop innovative solutions to a wide range of complex technical problems related to integrations, scalability and architecture
  • Work with engineers to whiteboard, develop, and refine clear requirements and user stories that drive solutions for both internal stakeholders and clients
  • Discuss proposals with engineers to identify the most efficient way to implement a feature, considering various trade-offs including development effort and infrastructure costs
  • Develop internal documentation to support external documentation needs
  • Work closely with engineers during implementation and help to ensure the changes function correctly and meet the specifications
  • Communicate the benefits and key use cases of new features to the marketing, sales, and customer teams so they are empowered to explain them to customers and prospects
  • Help with assessing return on investment to guide roadmap prioritization decisions
  • Use data to analyze product usage and the impact of previous projects to assess if they are delivering the benefits that were expected
  • Help shape and contribute to the product management process to help constantly improve it

Your background likely includes: 

  • 3 years of experience building and delivering successful products
  • 3 years software engineering experience
  • Track record of generating outstanding results at a fast-moving team and company
  • Experience with agile methodologies (scrum/kanban)
  • Experience with systems design
  • An interest in software development processes and practices, including developer tools
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of people
  • Proven attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks effectively
  • Quick to learn new skills and keen to solve problems
  • Familiarity with some or all of the following technologies: REST APIs, SQL Server, Cloud Technology (AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • Nice to have familiarity with: VDI technologies, end user compute

This is a remote role; Central or Eastern time zones are preferred
